Law of Similarity

DefinitionStates that similar visual elements appear to be grouped together. Elements of a design that look alike are organized into a group. So squares are visually grouped together with other squares, and circles are visually grouped together with other circles.



This image shows similarity in how the sun and the bottom of the eagle look similar. It is easy for us to group these two objects as the same thing because they have similar qualities.
